About Us

Hello everyone, I'm Nico Laurent M, Ceralde, 4th year BS Computer Science student from Cavite State University - Bacoor Campus. The study focuses on the design and development of a motion-based Smart Glove Translator System that utilizes American Sign Language (ASL) to assist communication between hearing- and speech-impaired individuals and non-impaired individuals. The system is intended for users who can perform ASL hand gestures using their right hand. The smart glove detects hand movements corresponding to ASL alphabet letters and translates them into textual outputs that are displayed in real time through a web-based application. The web application serves as the primary platform for monitoring and managing the system. It enables registered users to view recognized letters and manage user accounts, while a database stores detected letters and user related information. Through Wi-Fi connectivity, the glove device wirelessly transmits recognized letters to the web application, allowing real-time communication and interpretation.
